Cochin: Type Specimen Sheet 08-09

This assignment was to show my understanding of typography and layout. Cochin was the font chosen.

Book cover designs for "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote

The book In Cold Blood is a real historical account of the murder of the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas during 1959. My first goal was to capture the separate personalities of the two murderers that was described in depth throughout the story, leading to their ultimate death penalty.
The second cover was to show the chaotic process of finding the murderers and the regret of the perfect family of which were mercilessly killed.

Dream package

This bath product is kind of like the exact opposite of the "Awaken" brand. Instead of having a knock you out of bed quality, "Dream" gives you a sense of peace and relaxation. Made from natural minerals and plants, Dream will bring you to sleep the moment you step into bed.

PARADISE packaging- sub-brand of Kit-Kat

Paradise is a sub-brand of Kit-Kat, which I created for a branding project. The packaging for the candy product is on the left. They intend to evoke a lighthearted feeling for adults who wish to get away from their busy lives but have no time for vacation.

Awaken Package

Awaken is a brand of soap balls that are made with natural herbs and help "awaken" you in the morning. Each herb has a different kind of health benefit, all to make you more healthy in the long run.

Typography Project

The goal of this project was to make a postcard for a type foundry titled "TDIF", which will send out annual postcards, with each postcard displaying a different font. This example displays the font "Minion Pro". All illustrations are created out of the typeface.

08-09 Stamp

This stamp is meant to be able to be cut into four sections, yet through those pieces, still be able to show some kind of relation and design to the stamp's asian theme. This is the full view of those stamps.
